I was challeneged to make French 1700 era furniture out of steel. I worked with the scenic designer to pick pieces to replicate. The process from there was most akin to sculpting. I would draw profiles in chalk on the table and bend pieces between two pipes to create the shapes. Tacking togeather as I went.
