Stand Alone Touch-ID

I have a mac and I want touch-id but I want to be able to use a real keyboard, not just one that Apple produces. I knew that I could take a part a magic keyboard and recover the logic board and a touch-id key.

I also wanted a numpad to use as I often use hot keys or draft and it's useful to have numpad. I bought one from Adafruit. I used onshape to model an enclosure that would fit on my desk but could hold both the numpad and the touch-id key.

what you see on this page is the results of this endevor. The majority of the design work went into creating an enclsoure I was happy with and would work functionally.
